yMultimedia! To Launch Network-Wide Survey Looking For Feedback

“One of our primary initiatives in launching our network is to create venues for communication” states Mike Delacruz, yMultimedia Affiliate Manager. “There are so many options when it comes to running affiliate campaigns, it’s important to understand what our affiliates really need in order to be successful”, states Delacruz.

In order to do this, yMultimedia will conduct its first survey to set the platform for a series of educational tools and videos to address specific questions and teachings that result from the survey.

“No matter what level affiliate you are, yMultimedia wants to work closely with its network to help people grow as we continue to grow in the marketplace”, Delacruz adds.

If you’re not already part of our network, sign up now in order to take advantage of our educational initiatives!

Electronic Cigarettes Are Here To Stay

Monday, October 26th, 2009

A recent product-specific survey conducted of 1000 people stated that 76% of e-cigarette smokers had quit once they received their product.  This bodes will for advertisers as we continue to see more and more offers appear online.  While the FDA has released preliminary reports that this product could be harmful, it appears that smokers or smokers trying to quit are seeing that the benefits may outweigh the risks.

Dr. Kevin Sherrin, president of the American Association of Public Health Physicians – who is not compensated by e-cigarette makers – says conventional cigarettes are “much more hazardous” than e-cigarettes. To get more smokers to use them instead of cigarettes, he proposes that e-cigarettes be immediately regulated as tobacco products. The use of e-cigarettes, he argues, could help save 400,000 Americans who die each year from tobacco-related illness, as well as 48,000 people who die from secondhand smoke, and 700 people who die in fires caused by smoking.

The FDA’s DeLAncey says while levels of carcinogens may be far lower than from regular cigarettes, the long-term effect of using e-cigarettes is not known.

While it remains to be seen what the exact impact of the product or news surrounding the product, it appears E-cigarettes are here to stay.

The yMultimedia! Network currently offers two e-Cig products:  Smart Smoker and Vapor Pak.  We believe that these advertisers are marketing the product safely and effectively with full disclosure on the risks and benefits.

“We, like many networks, need to be able to offer the hottest offers to our affiliates and inevitably the end-user, but we do our best to find the safest and most reliable products available”, says Jose Rivera, President and part Founder of the yMultimedia! Network.

Stay tuned for more news on new Exclusive Offers available for e-Cigarettes from the yMultimedia! Network.

Advertising, Taxes, and the Feds

Is the Federal Government Going To Put Even More Of A Squeeze on Advertisers Now?

Regulations and more taxes seem to be the latest targets of the Ad Industry.

While Californian’s dodged the Amazon Tax Law bullet this year (a law that taxes click and mortar stores the same way as brick and mortars depending on where the click/purchase came from), more and more initiatives are being looked at to help offset our economic woes.

This week in AdAge, a new article was written about a myriad of new bills in several key states looking to tax everything from food and beverages to combat child obesity to banning alcohol outdoor ads on trains and buses.

It’s understood that innovative ideas and thinking outside the box is a great way to approach a challenge – - that’s what advertisers do every day. But, are the federal and state governments getting too creative with where their extra funding should come from?  Should advertisers be taxed and consumers taxed even more to make up for underlying problems?

Perhaps we should tax the government everytime they get too creative.
